What Statix doesWas Statix macht
Statix plays music and video on your iPhone or iPad. The files can sit on a server you own (over SFTP or FTP), in a folder on your device, or in iCloud Drive. The app pulls them down on demand and plays them through VLC.
It also keeps track of what you play. Counts, completion rates, time of day, streaks. That data feeds the stats screens, the calendar view, and Smart Playlists that update on their own. Nothing leaves your phone unless you switch on Last.fm or ListenBrainz.
Statix spielt Musik und Videos auf iPhone oder iPad. Die Dateien können auf deinem eigenen Server liegen (über SFTP oder FTP), in einem Ordner auf dem Gerät oder in iCloud Drive. Die App holt sie bei Bedarf und gibt sie über VLC wieder.
Außerdem merkt sich Statix, was du hörst. Wie oft, wie lange, zu welcher Tageszeit, wie viele Tage am Stück. Daraus entstehen die Statistik-Screens, die Kalenderansicht und Smart-Playlists, die sich selbst aktualisieren. Nichts verlässt dein Gerät – außer du verbindest Last.fm oder ListenBrainz.

It's Apple's official way to try out iOS apps before they're released on the App Store. The app is reviewed by Apple, runs in the same sandbox as any normal app, and you can remove it any time through TestFlight or directly from the home screen. No new account, no personal data sent to us — just the same Apple ID you already use.

First look at the appDer erste Blick
The home screen is the place you come back to. It shows your sources as tiles — one row per server you've added, plus a tile for local files. On a fresh install there are no tiles yet, just a large + button to add the first one.
Der Startbildschirm ist die Stelle, zu der du immer wieder zurückkommst. Er zeigt deine Quellen als Kacheln – eine Reihe pro Server, den du angelegt hast, plus eine Kachel für lokale Dateien. Each source tile shows the name you gave it, an emoji you picked, a tile color you picked, and a small protocol pill saying SFTP, FTP, or LOCAL.
Jede Quellen-Kachel zeigt den Namen, den du vergeben hast, ein Emoji deiner Wahl, eine Kachelfarbe deiner Wahl und eine kleine Protokoll-Pille mit SFTP, FTP oder LOCAL.
There's no separate four-state status indicator. While a connection is being established, the tile shows a brief connecting animation and a stop button you can tap to cancel. If the connection attempt fails, an error alert pops up so you can see what went wrong. Once you're inside the file browser, that's where you stay until you go back.
Es gibt keine separate Status-Anzeige mit vier Farben. Während sich eine Verbindung aufbaut, läuft auf der Kachel eine kurze Verbindungs-Animation und ein Stop-Knopf zum Abbrechen. What else is on the home screenWas sonst noch da ist
- Resume bar — if you closed the app while a track was playing, a bar across the top offers a one-tap return to that track at the same position. Same idea for radio: a separate bar resumes the last station.
- Bookmark bar — if you have unfinished bookmarks (long mixes, audiobooks, sets), the most recent one shows up here for quick resume.
- Saved radio stations — a row of station tiles below your servers.
- Favorites — a button to open your favorites list.
- Stats — opens the listening dashboard.
- Last.fm and ListenBrainz tiles — appear once you've connected each service. Tap to open that service's dashboard.
- Library stats — once you've scanned a library, a small header line shows track / artist / album counts.
- CRT settings button — a small floating button to adjust the retro screen effects.
- Version badge — bottom corner shows the build you're on.
- Resume-Leiste – wenn du die App geschlossen hast, während ein Titel lief, bietet eine Leiste oben den Sprung mit einem Tipp zurück an dieselbe Stelle. Dasselbe Prinzip fürs Radio: eine eigene Leiste setzt den letzten Sender fort.

Permissions on first launchBerechtigungen beim ersten Start
iOS asks once for local network access. Say yes if you want Statix to find servers on your home Wi-Fi. If you only stream over the internet or play local files, say no — nothing breaks.
iOS fragt einmal nach Zugriff auf das lokale Netzwerk. Mit „Erlauben" findet Statix Server in deinem Heim-WLAN. Wenn du nur über Internet streamst oder lokale Dateien hörst, kannst du auch ablehnen – nichts geht kaputt.

Source typesQuellentypen
Statix talks to three kinds of source.
Statix versteht drei Arten von Quellen.
- SFTP — encrypted file access over SSH. Recommended for anything over the internet.
- FTP — old-school file access. No encryption. Fine on a trusted home network.
- Local — files on the device itself or in iCloud Drive.
- SFTP – verschlüsselter Dateizugriff über SSH. Empfohlen für alles, was über das Internet läuft.
- FTP – klassischer Dateizugriff. Keine Verschlüsselung. OK in einem vertrauenswürdigen Heimnetzwerk.

Add a serverServer hinzufügen
- On the home screen, tap the + tile.
- Pick SFTP or FTP (or leave on auto).
- Type the host: an IP like
192.168.1.5or a name likemedia.local. - Type the port. SFTP uses 22 by default, FTP uses 21.
- Type your username and password.
- Tap Connect.
If it works, the new tile lands on your home screen. Tap it to open the file browser.

Local filesLokale Dateien
Tap Add Local Folder on the home screen. iOS opens its file picker. Pick a folder you have access to: Files app, iCloud Drive, or anywhere else iOS lets you in.
Once you pick the folder, Statix shows it as a tile right next to your remote sources. It works the same way: browse, play, scan, favorite.
Auf dem Startbildschirm Lokalen Ordner hinzufügen antippen. iOS öffnet die Dateiauswahl. Such dir einen Ordner aus: Dateien-App, iCloud Drive, oder wo iOS dir Zugriff gibt.

Connection problemsVerbindungsprobleme
What the error usually meansWas der Fehler meistens heißt
- Connection refused — wrong port. Try 22 for SFTP, 21 for FTP.
- Authentication failed — username or password is off. Watch caps lock.
- Timeout — the server isn't reachable. Firewall blocking the port, server down, or the wrong host.
- No route to host — different network. The server is on your LAN and your phone isn't.
- Connection refused – falscher Port. SFTP üblicherweise 22, FTP 21.
- Authentication failed – Benutzername oder Passwort stimmt nicht. Caps-Lock prüfen.
- Timeout – Server nicht erreichbar. Firewall, Server aus oder falscher Host.
- No route to host – falsches Netzwerk. Server hängt im LAN, dein iPhone gerade nicht.
Quick checksSchnellprüfung
Try the same hostname and port from a desktop SFTP client. If it works there, the issue is on the phone side (Wi-Fi, VPN). If it fails there too, it's the server.
Probier denselben Host und Port von einem Desktop-SFTP-Programm aus. Klappt's da, liegt's am iPhone (WLAN, VPN). Klappt's da auch nicht, liegt's am Server.

The file browserDer Dateibrowser
Tap a source tile and the file browser opens. Folders show up first, files below. Tap a folder to enter it. Swipe from the left edge or tap the back arrow to go up.
The browser remembers where you were. Close the app, come back later, you're in the same folder.
Eine Kachel antippen und der Dateibrowser öffnet sich. Ordner oben, Dateien drunter. Ordner antippen, um reinzugehen. Vom linken Rand wischen oder den Zurück-Pfeil tippen, um wieder hoch zu gehen.
Der Browser merkt sich deine Position. Schließt du die App und kommst später wieder, bist du am gleichen Ort.
Telling files and folders apartDateien und Ordner unterscheiden
Folder rows show the folder name and a count of items inside, with a small label in your accent color. Audio rows show the track title (or the filename if there are no tags yet), the artist, the duration, and a tiny audio marker. Video rows look the same but with a video marker. The currently playing track gets a highlighted row and a moving progress indicator.
Ordnerzeilen zeigen den Ordnernamen und die Anzahl der enthaltenen Einträge, mit einer kleinen Beschriftung in deiner Akzentfarbe. Audio-Zeilen zeigen Titel (oder Dateinamen, wenn noch keine Tags da sind), Künstler, Dauer und eine kleine Audio-Markierung. Video-Zeilen sehen genauso aus, mit einer Video-Markierung. Der gerade laufende Titel bekommt eine hervorgehobene Zeile und einen wandernden Fortschrittsbalken.
Sorting and searching inside the browserSortieren und Suchen im Browser
The toolbar above the list has a sort picker (name, date, size, kind) and a search field that filters the current folder as you type.
Die Werkzeugleiste über der Liste hat einen Sortier-Schalter (Name, Datum, Größe, Typ) und ein Suchfeld, das den aktuellen Ordner beim Tippen filtert.
Mega ShuffleMega Shuffle
The toolbar also has a Mega Shuffle button. One tap and Statix builds a shuffled queue out of every audio file under the current folder (recursively, so it includes everything in subfolders) and starts playing. Quick way to get music going without browsing.
In der Werkzeugleiste sitzt auch ein Mega-Shuffle-Knopf. Ein Tipp und Statix baut eine durchgemischte Warteschlange aus allen Audio-Dateien unter dem aktuellen Ordner (rekursiv – alles aus den Unterordnern eingeschlossen) und startet die Wiedergabe. Der schnelle Weg, Musik zu starten, ohne lange zu stöbern.
Now PlayingAktuelle Wiedergabe
Tap a track. The Now Playing screen takes over. For audio, you get the album cover (or visualizations). For video, you get the video.

The screen shows the album cover (or the music visualizer if you switch to it), the track title and artist, the album, and a progress bar with elapsed time on the left and remaining time on the right. Drag the bar to scrub. Below it, a row of transport buttons; below that, a strip of action buttons.
Du siehst das Albumcover (oder den Visualizer, falls du umschaltest), Titel und Künstler, das Album und eine Fortschrittsanzeige mit verstrichener Zeit links und Restzeit rechts. Zum Spulen die Anzeige ziehen. Darunter eine Reihe Transport-Tasten, darunter eine Reihe Aktions-Tasten.

- Previous — back to the start of the current track. Tap again within a second or two to jump to the previous track.
- Play / Pause — toggles playback.
- Next — skip to the next track in the queue.
- Shuffle — randomize the order of what's coming up.
- Repeat — cycle: off, repeat the whole queue, repeat just the current track.
- Zurück – zum Anfang des aktuellen Titels. Innerhalb von ein bis zwei Sekunden nochmal tippen, um zum vorherigen Titel zu springen.
- Play / Pause – Wiedergabe an/aus.

Action stripAktions-Leiste
- Heart — add or remove the current track from your favorites.
- Queue — open the list of what's playing next, with a count badge.
- Bookmark — save the current position so you can resume later, even after the app restarts.
- Add to playlist — pick a manual playlist to drop the current track into.
- Song Radio — generate a fresh queue of similar tracks. The button has a dice that rolls when you tap it.
- Play all by this artist / Play all from this album — replace the queue with everything you have by the same artist or from the same album.
- Visualizer — swap the album art for the audio-reactive visualizer.
- AirPlay / Bluetooth — the standard iOS route picker; send audio to a speaker, AirPods, or another AirPlay receiver.
- Sleep timer — see the customization section.
- Share to YouTube Music — opens YouTube Music with a search for the current track.
- Herz – aktuellen Titel zu Favoriten hinzufügen oder daraus entfernen.
- Warteschlange – zeigt die anstehenden Titel mit Anzahl-Badge.
- Bookmark – aktuelle Position speichern, um später weiterzuhören, auch nach App-Neustart.
- Zur Playlist hinzufügen – manuelle Playlist wählen, in die der aktuelle Titel eingefügt wird.
- Song-Radio – erzeugt eine frische Warteschlange aus ähnlichen Titeln. Die Taste zeigt einen Würfel, der beim Tippen rollt.
- Alles von diesem Künstler / Ganzes Album abspielen – ersetzt die Warteschlange durch alle Titel desselben Künstlers oder desselben Albums.
- Visualizer – tauscht das Cover gegen den musikreaktiven Visualizer.
- AirPlay / Bluetooth – die iOS-Standardauswahl für Ausgabe-Geräte; sendet den Ton an einen Lautsprecher, AirPods oder einen AirPlay-Empfänger.
- Sleep-Timer – siehe Abschnitt zur Anpassung.
- An YouTube Music senden – öffnet YouTube Music mit einer Suche nach dem aktuellen Titel.
Background & lock screenHintergrund & Sperrbildschirm
Lock your phone or switch apps — playback keeps going. Track info, artwork, and play controls show up on the lock screen and in Control Center. Headphone buttons (single, double, triple click) work the way you'd expect.
iPhone sperren oder zu einer anderen App wechseln – die Wiedergabe läuft weiter. Titel-Infos, Cover und Bedienelemente erscheinen auf dem Sperrbildschirm und im Kontrollzentrum. Kopfhörer-Tasten (einmal, zweimal, dreimal drücken) funktionieren wie erwartet.
Queue, shuffle, repeatWarteschlange, Shuffle, Wiederholen
The queueDie Warteschlange
Tap the queue button on the Now Playing action strip to see what's coming up. Drag rows to reorder. Swipe left on a row to remove it (with an undo toast in case you regret it). Tap any row to jump to that track. There's also a search field to filter the queue.
When you tap a track in the file browser, the whole folder becomes the queue automatically. Pick a song from a smart playlist and you get that whole playlist as the queue. So on.
Auf den Warteschlangen-Knopf in der Aktions-Leiste tippen, um zu sehen, was kommt. Zeilen ziehen sortiert um. Nach links wischen entfernt eine Zeile (mit Undo-Hinweis, falls du es bereust). Beliebige Zeile antippen springt direkt zu dem Titel. Es gibt auch ein Suchfeld, um die Warteschlange zu filtern.
Wenn du einen Track im Dateibrowser antippst, wird der ganze Ordner zur Warteschlange. Aus einer Smart-Playlist? Dann ist es die ganze Playlist. So weit, so logisch.
ShuffleShuffle
Tap the Shuffle button on the Now Playing transport row. The remaining queue gets randomized. Tap again to turn shuffle off; the queue returns to its original order from the current track onward.
Den Shuffle-Knopf in der Transport-Reihe von Now Playing antippen. Die restliche Warteschlange wird gemischt. Nochmal antippen schaltet aus, und ab dem aktuellen Titel ist die Reihenfolge wieder die ursprüngliche.
Repeat modesWiederholungsmodi
- Off — playback stops at the end of the queue.
- Repeat queue — when the queue ends, it starts over.
- Repeat one — the current track plays on a loop.
- Aus – am Ende der Warteschlange ist Schluss.
- Warteschlange wiederholen – am Ende geht's wieder von vorn los.
- Einen wiederholen – der aktuelle Track läuft in Schleife.
BookmarksLesezeichen
Bookmarks save your spot. Useful for long files: audiobooks, DJ mixes, podcast episodes, full concert recordings.
Lesezeichen speichern deine Position. Praktisch für lange Dateien: Hörbücher, DJ-Sets, Podcast-Folgen, ganze Konzertmitschnitte.
Make oneAnlegen
On the Now Playing screen, tap the Bookmark button in the action strip. The current position gets saved with the track and the queue context. The home screen's bookmark bar then offers a one-tap return to it later.
Auf dem Now-Playing-Screen den Bookmark-Knopf in der Aktions-Leiste antippen. Die aktuelle Position wird mit Titel und Warteschlangen-Kontext gespeichert. Die Bookmark-Leiste auf dem Startbildschirm bietet später eine schnelle Rückkehr.
Resume oneWiederaufnehmen
The bookmarks live as a list on the home screen. Tap any saved spot to jump back to it — the whole queue is restored, same tracks, same position. Swipe a row left to delete it. The most recent bookmark also gets its own bar at the top of the home screen for one-tap return.
Die Lesezeichen liegen als Liste auf dem Startbildschirm. Auf einen Eintrag tippen springt direkt zurück – die ganze Warteschlange wird wiederhergestellt, gleiche Titel, gleiche Position. Eine Zeile nach links wischen löscht das Lesezeichen. Das neueste Lesezeichen bekommt zusätzlich eine eigene Leiste oben für einen Ein-Tipp-Zugriff.
Building your libraryMediathek aufbauen

Browsing files works fine on its own. But scan once and you unlock the real power: a library indexed by artist, album, and genre, with search and Smart Playlists.
A scan reads the metadata (ID3 tags or equivalent) of every track and stores it in a local database. Track times. Year. Genre. Artwork. The works.
Stöbern reicht für sich. Aber einmal scannen, und alles wird besser: eine Mediathek nach Künstler, Album und Genre indiziert, mit Suche und Smart-Playlists.
Ein Scan liest die Metadaten (ID3-Tags oder Vergleichbares) jedes Tracks und legt sie in einer lokalen Datenbank ab. Spielzeiten. Jahr. Genre. Cover. Alles.
How to scanWie man scannt
- From the home screen, start a new library scan. Statix opens the source picker.
- Pick which source to scan: one of your servers or a local folder.
- Pick which folders inside the source: everything, only the selected ones, or everything except the selected ones. There's a per-folder picker with a search field for fast navigation.
- Tap Start.
- Auf dem Startbildschirm einen neuen Mediathek-Scan starten. Statix öffnet die Quellen-Auswahl.
- Eine Quelle wählen: einen deiner Server oder einen lokalen Ordner.
- Wählen, welche Ordner innerhalb der Quelle: alles, nur die ausgewählten oder alles außer den ausgewählten. Es gibt eine Ordner-Auswahl mit Suchfeld zur schnellen Navigation.
- Auf Start tippen.
During the scanWährend des Scans
Minimize the scan by tapping Continue in background. A purple banner shows up at the bottom: track count, artist count, animated dots. Tap the banner to expand back to the full scan view. Music plays as normal while the scan runs.
Mit Im Hintergrund weiter minimierst du den Scan. Unten erscheint ein lila Banner: Track-Anzahl, Künstler-Anzahl, animierte Punkte. Banner antippen klappt die Vollansicht wieder auf. Musik läuft währenddessen normal weiter.
Artists, Albums, GenresKünstler, Alben, Genres
Once a source has been scanned, the file browser shows Artists, Albums, and Genres tiles at the top with the counts you have. Tap one to leave the raw folder view and enter that organized list.
Nach dem Scan zeigt der Dateibrowser oben die Kacheln Künstler, Alben und Genres mit den jeweiligen Anzahlen. Eine antippen verlässt die Ordner-Ansicht und öffnet die sortierte Liste.

Alphabetical list of every artist found. Tap an artist to see their albums. The header shows album and track totals. Play All queues their entire catalog.

What happens behind the scenesWas im Hintergrund passiert
Statix asks Last.fm for similar artists based on the track's artist and stores them with the favorite. Later, when you open the favorite, those similar artists are right there for further discovery.

Most recent on top. Each row shows track title, artist, album, and the date you added it. There's a search field at the top to filter the list. Tap a row to expand it; inside the expanded row are buttons for the similar artists Last.fm returned — tap one and the app jumps to that artist's tracks in your library. From a favorite row you can also open the track's stats detail page.

While a track plays, Statix asks Last.fm for artists that listeners pair with the current artist. The result shows up in two places: as a list inside the artist info screen, and in the running "Discoveries" record that Statix builds up as you listen. Artists you already have in your library are highlighted in the list.

Song RadioSong-Radio
Like the song you're playing? On the Now Playing screen, tap the Song Radio button (the one with the dice) in the action strip. Statix builds a queue of similar tracks from your own library and starts playing.
The mix uses Last.fm's similar-artist data plus genre matching from your scan. It tries to keep the vibe close to the seed track. Tracks you've played a lot get weighted higher; tracks you regularly skip get weighted lower.

Open the Playlists section and tap + New Smart Playlist. The editor lets you set:
- Name — what it shows up as.
- Match all / match any — AND vs OR for your rules.
- Rules — combinations of fields like artist, album, genre, year, play count, last played, completion rate, length, file path.
- Sort by — random, play count, recently added, last played, alphabetical.
- Limit — cap at N tracks if you want.
- Icon & accent color — pick how the playlist's tile looks.
A preview at the bottom shows the live track count as you build the rules. Tap Save. The playlist appears in your list and updates whenever the underlying data changes.

Scrobbling sends what you've listened to to an online service that builds your music profile over time. Statix supports two: Last.fm and ListenBrainz. Both are optional and off by default.

When does a scrobble fire?

Statix follows the standard scrobbling rule: a track counts once it has been listened to long enough. The widely-used threshold is half of the track or a few minutes, whichever comes first; very short tracks are skipped.

If your phone is offline, scrobbles queue up on the device. The next time Statix has a connection, the queue sends in the background. You don't have to do anything.

Each connected service shows up as a tile on the home screen. Tap it to see your data without leaving Statix: recent scrobbles, top tracks, artists, and albums for different time ranges, and (for ListenBrainz) listening activity over time. Tap a track or artist on any of these dashboards and Statix will look for a match in your local library so you can play it back.

From the Now Playing action strip, tap the equalizer button. The screen fills with an arcade-style panel: a row of vertical sliders for each frequency band, a preamp slider, a power switch at the top, and small LED-style lights showing the audio level beside each band so you can see what each band is actually doing.

- The preamp slider raises or lowers the overall volume — useful when you've boosted bands and want to avoid clipping.
- Tap Save as preset to keep the current settings under a name.

Switch Auto-Gain on and Statix watches the output level. When a track gets loud enough that boosts would clip, Statix pulls the preamp down for you and shows a small reduction indicator. When the loud part passes, it lets the preamp back up.
Auto-Gain einschalten und Statix beobachtet den Ausgangspegel. Wird ein Titel laut genug, dass Anhebungen übersteuern würden, senkt Statix den Preamp und zeigt eine kleine Reduktions-Anzeige. Sobald die laute Stelle vorbei ist, wird der Preamp wieder freigegeben.

Two buttons on the equalizer panel — Link to Artist and Link to Genre — tie the current settings to the artist or genre of the track that's playing. Next time a track from the same artist or genre starts, Statix loads those settings automatically. Tap the same button again to unlink.

During playback, you can switch the screen from the Now Playing view to a full-screen visualization that reacts to the audio. The engine is the open-source Butterchurn, which renders the same family of presets people knew as Winamp's MilkDrop visuals.

In Now Playing, open the sleep timer sheet (from the action strip). Pick a preset duration in minutes — the sheet shows several quick-pick buttons. The countdown survives if you lock the phone. When it hits zero, playback stops.

Statix has a retro CRT look on by default — fake scanlines, a slight screen curve, a darkened vignette around the edges, and a soft glow on text. The whole effect can be turned off, or you can fine-tune each piece individually.

CarPlay support in Statix is deliberately small. The Statix tile in your car opens the standard iOS Now Playing template — cover art, title, artist, album, a progress bar, and play / pause / previous / next buttons. Steering-wheel buttons and the standard remote commands (play, pause, skip, previous) work the same way they do for any music app.

Statix is built around a simple idea: your music is yours and your listening data is yours. The app stores everything on your device, talks only to the servers you set up, and uses outside services strictly for the features you choose to turn on.

SFTP, FTP, Last.fm, and ListenBrainz logins go into the iOS Keychain. The Keychain is Apple's encrypted credential store, the same place Safari and Mail keep your passwords. Statix never writes credentials to a regular file or to a backup that is not already encrypted.
SFTP-, FTP-, Last.fm- und ListenBrainz-Zugänge landen im iOS-Schlüsselbund. Der Schlüsselbund ist Apples verschlüsselter Speicher für Zugangsdaten – derselbe Ort, an dem Safari und Mail deine Passwörter ablegen. Statix schreibt Zugangsdaten nie in eine gewöhnliche Datei oder in ein unverschlüsseltes Backup.
SFTP versus FTP versus FTPS
SFTP, FTP und FTPS im Vergleich
- SFTP is encrypted end-to-end over SSH. Your password and the music files travel through a secure tunnel. Recommended.
- FTPS (FTP over TLS) is also encrypted, using the same kind of TLS that secures HTTPS websites. When your server offers it, Statix uses it.
- Plain FTP sends the password and files unencrypted. Use it only inside your home network or for legacy servers that don't support anything else.
- Statix supports all three because some legacy servers (NAS firmware, old routers) still need plain FTP.
- SFTP ist Ende-zu-Ende über SSH verschlüsselt. Dein Passwort und deine Musik laufen durch einen sicheren Tunnel. Empfohlen.
- FTPS (FTP über TLS) ist ebenfalls verschlüsselt – dasselbe TLS, das auch HTTPS-Webseiten absichert. Wenn dein Server es anbietet, nutzt Statix es.
- Klartext-FTP sendet Passwort und Dateien unverschlüsselt. Nutze es nur im Heimnetz oder für Server, die nichts anderes können.
- Statix kann alle drei, weil manche alten Server (NAS-Firmware, alte Router) noch reines FTP brauchen.

Plays, completion rates, favorites, smart playlists, bookmarks — everything you build up — stay in a Core Data database inside the app's sandbox on your iPhone. They are part of the iCloud / iTunes encrypted backup if you have one. They are never copied to an outside server.

- MusicBrainz (musicbrainz.org) — for artist information lookups (biography, country, links). Anonymous, rate-limited per their public API.
- Apple iTunes Search API — for album artwork when your files don't carry embedded covers. Anonymous queries by track title and artist.
- Radio Browser (api.radio-browser.info) — community catalog of internet radio stations. Anonymous queries.
- Internet radio streams themselves — when you play a station, your phone connects directly to the broadcaster's stream URL.
- Apple's CarPlay framework — only when your phone is connected to a CarPlay car.

- Local Network — to reach SFTP / FTP servers on your home Wi-Fi. Required by iOS for any local connection.
- Background audio — so music keeps playing when the screen is off.
- Files (optional) — only if you import audio from the iOS Files app.
- Lokales Netzwerk – um SFTP- / FTP-Server im WLAN zu erreichen. Wird von iOS für lokale Verbindungen verlangt.
- Audio im Hintergrund – damit Musik weiterläuft, wenn der Bildschirm aus ist.

To remove all data, delete the app from the iPhone home screen. iOS removes the sandbox (your listening database, sources, favorites, and cached files) along with any Keychain entries Statix has stored.
